My Story:
I started making knives when I was 15 years old.
A friend I knew from the scouts didn't have a knife yet so me and one of my Friends decided making one would make a great Birthday present.
The result was surprisingly good considering our lack of experience and knowladge we had at this point:

It was a lot of fun, so i decided to build one for myself.
At this point I only had an old rusty file to turn the steel (80CrV2) into a blade.

I turned 16 a few months later and bought myself a workbench, a little belt grinder and build a cheap gas forge.

I now have an own workshop and an forced-air gas forge with which i can forge - combinated with my new 16 tonns flypress - different kind of damascus.
